Skimmer Broods

Açıklama
Every wonder where all those skimmers out in the Great Desert come from? Install this mod and regret finding the answer!

Adds skimmer brood nests to Heng, the Skimsands and The Great Desert. Every nest is watched over by a broodmother - a large hulking skimmer queen eager to squash any threat to her young. She is constantly surrounded by a few dozen adorable hatchlings and hungry broodlings.

The nest may hold unhatched skimmer eggs, considered a delicacy by some (blech!!!). Includes 2 recipes for cooking them...just gross.

Adds a lore book on the Skimmer available wherever Tech Hunter Lore Books are sold.

NOTE: Subscribing to this mod will require an import because it adds new items to the game. Updates released after you've subscribed shouldn't require an import.

Future Plans: Add custom icons for the new foods.

Great, but it seemed to me that they are not very aggressive and often bypass the player. Of course, it is possible that this is the influence of other mods. But I’m not sure. How to clarify this hmm..

Amazing mod, they are pretty balanced. They are pretty strong, they may kill some wandering drifters but they eventually fall to ronins and shek / UC guards.

@The Red. I encountered the same crash. I've fixed the crash due to the missing skimmer egg mesh and it works for me now. Please try it again and let me know if it is working for you.

FYI - I started having errors with my install of Kenshi and had to reinstall it yesterday. I thought I saved off all my mod files so I could restore them after reinstalling. But my backup file for this mod was actually an older one wich didn't have the eggs finished yet.

It crashes and says: "Loaded mesh doesn't exist: .\data\items\nests\Skimmer Egg.mesh"
Also there were only regular Skimmers, tho i did import the save.

i consider this mod to be mandatory. pretty much all other animals have this feature so why not

@Not a Heretic, I made this mod because I prefer to see the world filled with more varieties of life, instead of just more squads of the same thing. I would make completely new creatures but I don't know how to do 3D modelling, rigging or animation, so I'm limited to making variations of the existing creatures like the aurochs, the skimmer broods...and a few others that are still WIP status.
