Imperial Elective Away!

Beskrivelse
Are you not a fan of the Byzantine imperial elective succession? Wish you could just go back to the good old feudal succession laws? Do you just dislike the fact it's the only choice?
Worry no more.

This mod will re-enable Primogeniture, Ultimogeniture, and Seniority for the Byzantine empire, with some restrictions.

In addition to the regular conditions for changing succession laws, changing away from Imperial Elective requires your realm to have max centralization, similar to the Holy Roman Empire. In addition all your vassals will get a permanent -10 opinion modifier, as it is very much un-roman to abandon the Byzantine ways.

Changing the ERE succession law will also open the emperor up to a pesky new faction which will seek to reinstate the old succession law by force.

If you're not a fan of factionalism there is a new game rule that allows you to disable the imperial succession faction or make it slightly harder for vassals to form, as well as a game rule letting you disable the centralization requirement if you're really just there for the "ERE should be feudal!" button.

This is just a quick something I threw together on request, so take care when using it. It's a simple thing so it shouldn't have any major issues, but it is a bit rough around the edges. As such there are some graphical glitches and the occational revert to feudalism under special circumstances. (Such as the fact that the faction icons never seem to be the ones I specify) If you find any breaking bugs do send them my way and I'll see if they cannot be fixed.

Most likely not compatible with mods that modify the vanilla feudal_government group (feudal_governments.txt) or the vanilla succession laws (succession_laws.txt).

Do you mind if I use some of this for a mod pack?

I'm having the same problem. Just switches back to feudal.

For some reason, this mod changes the imperial government to feudal when reloading saves

Can you make this compatible with when the world stopped making sense?

When set as Imperial Primogeniture, the laws window still says its "Elective Absolute Imperial Autocracy" for some reason.
