BART Rohr A&B Series

In the 1960s and 70s, the now defunct Rohr Industries made a foray into mass transit equipment manufacturing. They built the original railcars for Bay Area Rapid Transit as well as the first batch of cars for the Washington DC Metro.

BART's A and B series cars were constructed from 1968-1971 by Rohr and entered service in 1972. They were later refurbished in the mid 90's, extending their lifespan. After being in service for over 45 years, these cars are now being replaced by the newer D and E series cars constructed by Bombardier.

-Line color is displayed on the lead and rear cars.
-5 Cars per train with a total capacity of 300.

Important

These cars are a bit longer and as a result underground station length should be set to 144 for the trains to fit properly.
Wide curves should also be used to prevent any possible clipping.

fsr my trains of this type almost always spawn broken with less than 5 cars.

As a native San Franciscan, absolutely delightful and brings a joy in my heart to see these classic Bart trains zipping about my city. Nothing but respect and tip of the hat to you!
