Half-Life VOX

This addon brings back original Annoucement System from Half-Life to Black Mesa. Every VOX annoucement is replaced with Half-Life VOX including the voice lines exclusive to Black Mesa (whose were created using 15.ai). VOX is scripted the same way as it is in the original Half-Life and closed captions are also supported.

Manual intervention is required for this addon to work properly. Check the instructions in the Installation section.

To install this addon, press the Subscribe button and wait for it to download. If you are already in-game, restart the game for addon to load. If you encounter some problems with the addon, it is recommended to install it manually. Just follow the steps below:

1. Subscribe to this addon through Steam Workshop.
   
2. Go to the main folder of the game (\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Black Mesa\bms\).
   
3. Create a folder and name it custom.
   
4. Open gameinfo.txt located in the bms folder and add the following line at the top of the Search Paths section: game+mod bms/custom/* (See Setting up a "Custom Folder" guide for clarification).
   
5. Navigate to \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\362890\1424440735\.
   
6. Copy Half-Life_VOX.vpk file and paste it in your custom folder (\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Black Mesa\bms\custom\).

You can test if Half-Life VOX is working correctly with the following command:
You should hear Half-Life VOX speaking upon execution. If you don't hear anything make sure you installed the addon properly.
