I HAVE THE SOLUTION!

1) Really important to switch game language into english! Also be sure to disable ALL other mods in Steam Workshop! Furthermore it is important to have ALL expansions of Age2 HD!!!!
2) enable "The Lord of the Rings language(English and Chinese) in Steam Workshop and start the game. Now you can see Teutons as Gondor, Mongols as Rohan etc....Close the game!
3) enable "The Lord of the Rings mod" in Steam Workshop and start Game!
4) ENJOY!

I am working on a mod and have been having issues changing text for the tech tree screen. I locate the strings and edit them but nothing happens. I can alter text for basically everything else and it shows up in game. But changes to tech tree do not show up. Did you have to do anything special to get that to work? Any tips? Thanks!
