Stay off the hook!


Pearl and Marina from Splatoon 2 are here in their full, fresh glory! Their models come with near-perfect material replication from the first game, even inkluding their dress lights! These can be used by adding a material override on marina/pearl_dress_lights.vmt, adding a color attribute labeled $lights, and by sliding the color around the grays. Their eyelids were also re-drawn in order to reduce the harsh pixelation the game has.

Their models utilize many tricks to work around Source limitations, allowing for multi-colored envmaps, some sneaky phong tricks, and ambient occlusion workarounds, so use material override carefully!

Is there a reason to still bother with faceflexes?
Its merely fucking around with shapekeys and getting the VTA to work correctly. After one or two days of fucking around with the models in Blender.
These models are still complete garbage and the better alternative coming from two specific NSFW Artists.

Funnily enough the Squid Sisters themselves ALSO didnt come with faceflexes.
But they received them from the start by the one porting them.
2018... 5 years we have barely animateable Off the Hook.
Would be great if the script required to animate skin and bodygroups doesnt love to break repeatedly.
