Tools Needed?
To start creating maps what is needed for this particular game? Can I just use CryDev or is there a specific SDK for this game?

There is a specific SDK, please refer to the videos 'My First Level' on www.youtube.com/nexuizshooter to get a full run down on how to make levels for Nexuiz!

Ahhh thanks to you both. I'm actually a developer with the CryEngine and use it frequently but didn't realise that the editor was packaged with the game on Steam. Once again thank you both!
