The mod bundle I maintain has a couple of mods that play with resources, making it very easy to change a couple of values to be more in line with your liking. More specifically: UP_MBC_MapGenerationMoreExotics and UP_MBC_MapGenerationTweaks

I haven't played with Trade though, so you'd have to start from scratch on that front.

There used to be a mod called Spacetrolls, but for whatever reason, the author removed it from everything. Essentially, the mod was about maximising planetary tiles, infinite trait points, bigger starbase ranges, and a couple of other features. I still got the latest, but that was about a year ago. Don't know what happened to it now. Tough luck buddy.
