since it has come to my attention that disabling steam cloud for authoring tools doesn't actually disable it and caps at 6GB of mods uploaded at most

i have generated a simple batch script for such annoyance

the gist of what it does is it hollows every file in the "myl4d2addons" folder without actually deleting them, in other words it turns them into 1 byte nothingburgers which effectively makes sure that the cloud doesn't restore them unlike outright deleting

although you may need to run this script periodically after some heavy mod uploads


- go to YOURSTEAMFOLDER\userdata\RANDOMNUMBERS\563\remote
- create a new text file and make sure its extension is .bat and windows recognizes it such
- copy paste the code block written above into the empty text file
- run the damn thing
