I just tried and blocks are not rotated by Ctrl+QWEASD. Maybe this feature have to be enabled in Settings?
May be bugged in the new version and need to be reported on the SE1 Support Portal !?
I was more in SE2 these days and I can go in SE1 to double check and feedback here after.
I will be back in a few ...
-> I am able to use SE2 Rotating keys in SE1 and they are in the Controls by default :
I can use Ctrl+QWEASD to rotate blocks :
