You have two choices to fix multiplayer. Both break workshop support last I knew.
1) Update using TT Scripts (also breaks workshop support last I used it) but fixes multiplayer
2) Downgrade to 1.037 original executable (in the game folder rename "game.dat" to "game.dat.bak" and "game.exe" to "game.dat") this ALSO breaks workshop support (restoring the game to its original patch)
I used option 2 personally due to personal preferences. With either method you choose just copy the map from the workshop download folder to the game's "data" folder to allow multiplayer with the workshop map.
../steamapps/workshop/content/2229890/ (followed by workshop ID get it from the page itself)
../steamapps/common/Command & Conquer Renegade/Data/ (copy them to this path)
