Lighting issues (and bonus)
Hi everyone, this afternoon I started to play with blender to get something out, the mesh should be fine but I have nasty problems with the shading:

Also, for idk what reason, there's a hole in one side of my model, but not on the other (since I modeled using mirror modifier it shouldn't happen I think):

I'll add hearings and hair after I've solved this nasty issue above.

Just to let you know, I'm a total newb on 3D modeling, so if you have to explain something to me either write without using much technical terminology or point out a tutorial :D
Also, don't consider that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ texture, it was something I put on the model just to get how would have been colored.

PS: That's Maestro Delphine Eraclea from Last Exile.

PPS: Ah, almost forgot, the workshop tool doesn't work on linux... everything works fine but either your models are not rendered or the import is broken (even "example" models won't work). I had to download GoIO for MS Windows to use the workshop tool :(

Ok, nevermind, I solved the issue. There were 2 actually:
  • Unity3D doesn't take the mirror modifier correctly, and so you have to apply the mod before exporting, no matter what
  • I didn't specify any UV shading property, now I properly set up "smoothing groups" and hard edges and everything works fine

Btw, I completed the "hat" model, now I have to model the hair one and draw proper light-aware textures... (that's gonna be the hard part for me, I think, any help would be greatly appreciated)

Sent, with relevant details I could think of about my machine/setup.
