Maybe we'll never see it implanted in-game, but at the very least it made me think. Also from my surfacy impressions so far the stories connected to it seem to tell the stories of Ireland in some ways, it feels as if I had a glimpse at what it is the Irish are proud of them selfs about, I wonder what I will find if I compare these abstract stories to Irish history, and in a way, I would challenge you if weren't doing that already. But anyways, thx for posting something interesting, it's threads like this that deserve to be commented and thought upon imo, rather then those pointless 2-sided discussions that never get anywhere.
EDIT: You might want to post or link this on the official forums as well, and as for me, I'll definitely start reading a bit more into Irish folklore, dunno why but now besides Scotland Ireland interests me as well.
ANOTHER EDIT: Maybe besides the faint glow it should be really reflective, in any way, I think the effect should be more of a subtle one. maybe it's just because I can't imagine an ultra bright sword in-game, but idk, the sword itself is really starting to interest me.
