For clarification i am Certain it isn't an issue with a specific mod. as i have had modpacks that had 0 mod overlap and both did not work exactly the same. The highest i can get a modpack to work is a 70~ Range and even then adding a single mod can completely ruin its ability to run.
Before 1.6 i could ran 500+ modpacks with minimal issue other than long start up time.
This isn't related to the dlc as i have tested that. and i have made sure this is not a "takes longer to load" issue. as even waiting 6 hours did not help (and previously 500+ modlists only took around 2-3 hours)
As far as i can see, the update has just ruined my ability to use mods. and i am guessing it is related to my somewhat outdated software/hardware
I run just under a hundred with no issues, and there are people that are running mod lists well north of 400-500 that you can watch yourself on youtube.
i have tried running modlists made by other people. i have tried making my own. anything i do since the update just doesn't work.
my brother also has rimworld (bought it this update infact) and i made a modpack for both of us at the start-
roughtly 160 mods
He could run it without issue
I had to reduce it to less than 50 for it to run.
in fact he is without issue running 300-400 modpacks right now when i am having to spend hours playing a puzzle with trying to get above 70 to run.
even when using a modlist only filled with QOL mods with barely any content. i still run into this.
Modpacks that have been tested to hell and back and 100% work, I can't run.
because of this i am convinced something within this update changed from the hardware/software requirments. as my brother has a considerably newer(not stronger) Pc and newer software.
Which is why im looking ot see if i can find anybody else sharing my issue.
So if you find a fix for it let me know, cause it's super frustrating lol
