what is the difference? I am asking for the related lfd2 workshop mod.

If I'm not mistaken, the blood/ gore mods may not function properly on censored version, or even if they function, you won't see some gibbed/ destroyed dead bodies when killing common infected. You can try a gib mod by Killjoy, or some other gore mods to test it.

There is a free DLC that uncensors everything. You don't need to install addons/mods.

If it doesn't work, contact Steam Support. The Australian version of l4d2 has been uncensored since 2014.

I see, thanks. I tried folllowing that discussion, but i think that it is outdated as the gore dlc is not available. My gore is already set to high and bodies disapeear.

I previously contacted steam support and they basically told me that it sucks but that they cant do anything because i did purchase the Australian version.
I suppose that the best solution is still to use the Left4Gore application to uncensor LFD2..

Steam literally released a free update in 2014 that uncensors everything... It's ridiculous that they claim that they can't do anything, when it's their own fault that your version, for some reason, didn't get updated.

Try to contact them again and don't give up after their first message. The first message is usually automated, you will only get a human reply after you insist.

It still doesn't uncensor everything.. And you won't be able to play with uncensored people.

Yeah i tried playing the game just now after reviewing the settings based on all the various inputs.
There is "gore" with the workshop mods as in a bit of blood splatters.. However, limps still stay attached and bodies disappear (despawn) once they die.
I have tried various workshop mods, but none work.
I dont find any DLCs.
I have tried changing settings in multiplayer, as well as in the properties.

The only thing that works for getting rid of the Australian (and German) censorship is the left4gore application. Have no problems running it while playing it with others.

I have asked multiple times throughout the years.
However, it always leads to the same conclusion.
Many others have had the same.. one person even got so frustrated that they developed the left4gore app..

The australian version was updated, for free, years ago.

If everyone in Australia got the uncensored version, why should you be singled out? It is within your right (or i would hope it is) to get your game updated to the latest version.

I've also been talking to Steam Support regarding an issue and i swear they're not even reading my request. Just blatant generic responses that don't pertain to my issue. But keep going, someone will eventually give you a proper reply.
