How to navigate in Isle Designer?
Hi there,

I have some questions about the designer for islands. I want to create some nice looking islands but I have some problems there.

- with right click on mouse I can rotate the view
- wasd does nothing - I hoped for some movement through the island
- setting ressources is difficult of lack of movement - I already messed something in my first try up (I created some trees and then I would set stones onto the island - boom the trees went to the 9th dimension)
- how to create caves?

Thanks in advanced for help. Mostly interested in movement through the island.

My biggest discovery today:
While holding RMT, you can easily navigate using WASD.

I haven't got any further yet.

Right-Click and WASD lets you move around. Center-Click allows you to drag the screen around on a "flat" plain based on your angle. You can scroll-wheel to move directly in our out rapidly. It is super janky and not at all intuitive, but once you get used to it it isn't too bad.

Yep, getting a view in the Island Editor is wonky....gotta try that RMB now. What I've been doing is pretending to be flying in first person....can't move the island to look at it, ya gotta kinda "fly yourself around it", then adjust the view with the RMB. As if you are gliding in the game, do what you do to circle round islands while gliding, stop and turn to look at it. Drove me nuts for a while, but I'm stubborn.

Being stubborn in this creator is the basis, many objects do not have all the functions and what is worse, it is not indicated anywhere that this object cannot be rotated or scaled, there are objects for building caves.. but they do not make "holes" in other objects (so there is a lot of work with encasing them to make it look good). The riverbed is just a riverbed, we add water separately. Let's hope that over time this Creator will have more functions and will be clearer.
