It would be a menu where you can modify to your liking for all the runs in that file which item and its version you want to use without having to choose which version of the game to play.

It would be that when you press one of the options, a list of versions and the description of each version of the item would appear, so almost no one would complain about why they nerfed this particular item or not. It would only be choosing the version of the update for that item and it would be activated.
