looking for a mod that adds a block that deletes itself upon getting logic signal.

There's one like that in The Modpack Continuation, I think.
But you can do the same thing with just a piece of cardboard and a spudgun.

The problem is it takes up too much space.

New Legend Continuation has Separators that do exactly that

the spudgun + 1 carboard block is 5 blocks long (+1 if you have button or switch).

I meant the part from The Modpack Continuation.
