Hey.

After using the map editor for a couple of days, I would like to suggest improvements. Note that I am fully aware that the game itself is very early in development, so some of the suggestions I will made here under were possibly already planned or considered.

  • Have a toggle to allow new waves to come in even if the previous one is not cleared

    Currently if you scheduled hordes to come in short intervals in the cycle and the previous wave is not fully cleared a sound will play but the wave will be shuffled in the next calendar spot. This might be great for some map design, but sometimes you might want the other option

  • More wave spawning point options, like faction related spawning points (including on enemy units set as spawners) or uniquely identifiable spawn points (i.e. specific waves can be set to spawn from this very specific point, this would allow for example having waves of flyers only coming from otherwise impassable areas).

    Currently you can setup several spawn points and spawner units and then setup for each customisable waves a certain amount of randomly selected spawn points amongst those available. Again, this is all fine and cool but lacks customisation options

  • A third option for pre-placed buildings that allow them to be without ownership (lost) but not spawn units when reclaimed, an a fourth option that set them on hostile (mainly for turrets and add basic AI for shooting at the player).

Without thinking about game suggestions, again considering that the dev already has quite a few things planned in mind which might or might not affect what i highlighted in this post, here are just a couple of idea that I would have made use of while using the editor should have they been available.

Basically food for thoughts.
