I've been trying to work with the Axis & Allies pieces from the Global Edition set on the workshop. They're all mostly one color, but recoloring them doesn't work. I've tried loading a custom model in from scratch using the same model URL, and I do get a generic white model, but that too won't recolor.

I've tried playing around with the specular color as well, but that's no help. How do I make it so a custom model can just be recolored with no frills?
