Lately, weapon mods I’ve been playing with (e.g. “British Army Weapons pack”, “norsii’s Weapon Pack Vol. 1”, and “SOCOM”) would crash the game when a weapon is fired. This is confusing, because I’ve played these mods in 2024 without any issue, took a break in December, and now find myself crashing to desktop.

Curiously, NOT ALL weapon mods (e.g. “Mk 18 CQBR”, "AR-15 .458 SOCOM”) I’ve played would crash the game. Only a few would however, which confuses me even further.

Crash logs don’t seem to point out any culprit, which is why I’m looking for any helpful ideas here. I believe this has to do with weapon sounds, as weapon mods with custom sounds don’t seem to crash the game, but I’ve not been able to determine any mod conflicts.

It’s a shame I might have to unsubscribe from my favorite mods, including ones I made myself :( Still, any helpful ideas help.
