Edit Points

Is 145 edit points for the Elite rank the max you can get? And if so, how will anyone ever make the most boss ship? Downloading ships with missions that you complete do not go towards edit points by the way (ive tried in hopes I would get more edit points lol). I guess you always have to weigh out the ship to not go below the minus mark. The ship I want to make is over 700 edit points but how do you get the edit points? :(

What the what? Mission completion only gets you stars to unlock the shadow ranks. So if you got Shadow Force Elite you got maxed out. And it's not about making the best ship. That would be just lame. More about making it fun and challenging. Rewarding if you can.

But you can get pretty decently usable points by increasing deceleration to the max. Not anywhere near 700 though.
