I wish HBS did what Paradox is, and patch in new core rulesets "for free". Now, the content wouldn't be free, per se, but the rules governing the content would be in the core, so if someone bought Dragonfall, it would give in the proper totems, edited spell levels and req's, etc.
Your concern may be about guns and cyberware, mine is the core ruleset; both can be easily solved.
