Stupid Mod Question

Hey everyone,

I normally play this game straight vanilla, but I recently downloaded some neat mods on the workshop. One of these is Unlockable Armory, which is a campaign mod, and the other one I really want to use is Visual Progression which has to be enabled in the setup mods. I know how to do this for a quick match, but I don't see that option when starting a campaign. I spoke with the author and he said Visual Progression can be used with campaign, but I'm not sure how to enable setup mods in campaign.

Some mods can not be used simultaneously with other mods, better ask authors for their compatibility.

Normally, you launch a mod in the campaign by selecting it under "Select Campaign". Visual Progression doesn't seem to be available here, though, and simply enabling it in quick match doesn't have any effect on the campaign. I looked through the mod files and it seems like you'll have to make some changes to run it in the campaign. Firstly, copy the entire scripts folder located in

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RunningWithRifles\media\packages\full_campaign_template

and paste it in

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\270150\2220810728\media\packages\visual.progression

Then open the file start_campaign.as and replace both instances of my_mod with

visual.progression

Save this file and open package_config.xml. Here, you want to replace show_in_campaigns="1" with

show_in_campaign_menu="1"

Now the mod should show up in "Select Campaign".

It's not really possible to run two mods at the same time, unless you merge them yourself. Merging these mods should be easily done, seeing that they don't have any files in common. Simply copy all files in Visual Progression's factions folder and paste them in the corresponding folder in Unlockable Armory.
