Hello guys, Phantom here with my map idea. So, you have on one side of the map with a town, the Attacker's position. The town has taken fire from cannons, and thus is partally destroyed. this area had Cannon positions and trenched for the attacking forces to use for protection as the prepare to assult the citadel. They must advance up a large hill with only fallen trees, craters, dead tanks, and piles of there fallen comrades (or just regular corpses) for cover to rech the first line of the defender's trenches. They must then rush further up the hill with no cover to reach the next line, this second line having Mortar pits and maybe some light artillary. They attackers must then make a short but deadly dash to the brech in the mighty fortress's walls, witch will be plugged up with sandbags that the attacker must blow up. alternativly, you can use a heavy cannon to brech the main gate, but you will be met with a blazing hell of MG fire. Either way, the attackers must kill all the defenders on the walls before seizing the 2nd level of the walls, witch are ramparts for heavy artillary. after that, hoist your nations flag up at the fort's HQ, and victory is yours. now let us review some tactical points here.
1. Attackers SHOULD outnumber the defenders at least 3 to 1
2. hill discourages tank attacks, also make motars more relible, as the higher the hill goes the harder it with be for attacking artillary to hit enemy positions.
3. walls give snipers an advantage, but the attckers will (to make the battle fair) have Grenadiers and MG gunners, not to mention thier own snipers.
4. about taking the fort by the gate entrence. 5 words. All.Your.Men.Will.Die!
