SuperNoob <---- How the heck do you install mods?
The title basically says it all. Specifically, I am attempting to install the FAXX Removal mod for Fable Anniversary from within the steam workshop, but I cannot find any information whatsoever about how to install mods from within steam. It says that you must be subscribed to download, so I subscribe and then absolutely nothing happens. It says that the item will be added to my subscriptions but doesnt do anything at all. No download button, no install option, nothing. I am greatly frsutrated with Steam's abhorrent lack of instruction or basic informtion in this matter. And any information would be apreciated.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but many moons ago when I played Skyrim (with mods of course) I just had to hit the subscribe button on the page of the mod, then re-launch the game. The mod would download at that point and automatically load into the game. Again, this was quite some time ago and things may have changed since then (this is the first time for a few years that I've had a working PC)

It's not that Steam isn't explaining it, it's that there's nothing to explain. Steam does it for you once you click subscribe. And if it doesn't then there's a problem with the mod or download of said mod. Now if you use another mod medium that doesn't use steam library like nexus mods you would then need to download it, use some type of file archiving software, find the game file in your steam apps folder, and place the file in the correct location. Steam makes this so trivial and easy by comparison I can't allow it to be bashed. Hope this helped.
