Just lost a bunch of highway networks (small rural highway)
I loaded into my save game and I had 4 networks missing, which I'm guessing caused about 10 different highway intersections to fail.

I'm guessing that this was caused by someone removing assets from the workshop, correct?

Does anyone know how I can backup my own file on my computer so I don't run into this situation again? I've heard that it can be done... but have only been playing for about 6 months now and haven't learned how to do it yet.
Thank you very much in advance for any assistance!!!

The assets that are missing for me now are:
small rural highway
rural highway
small avenue
Highway 2L2W
Four lane national highway

It's a major bummer because I've been working on a small town and so of course I've been using all of these. lol

Back up the Workshop folder for CS. Look under Steamapps\workshop\content]255710. Back up that entire folder to another place on your computer.

You can then put them in the C:\Users\YouNameHere\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Addons\Assets folder. Just remember to activate them in the content manager again.

This is exactly the help I needed. Thank you!

I found all the workshop files where you said, in the 255710 folder. When I save a copy to the new folder... will that switch my game over to using the files on the computer? And I need to create that exact folder string in my user files, correct? I was not able to find that particular file there so I assume I have to make it.
Or is that backup just there in case I need to replace the files in the future?

Oh, and side note, I was able to figure out the issue of the missing assets. Not sure why they broke... but unsubscribing and resubscribing fixed the networks and then the intersections I just unsubscribed from since I can make my own now.

If you copy them from the one folder to the other, make sure you delete them from the Workshop folder so the game does not try to load 2 of them, taking up more RAM.

oh yea... that would suck! Thanks for the heads up.

I'm going to buckle down and try to do it tomorrow. Wish me luck!
Hopefully I dont break everything and blow up my game and saves. haha
