Why aren't there franchize mods? (Bablyon 5, Stargate, etc)

Hey Everyone,

I always enjoyed playing mods in games that add the Stargate or Babylon 5 franchize ships to the game. Empire at War, Star Trek Armada II, Homeworld 2, even X3 had some ship mods. And I would love to fly around in a Wraith Hive Ship or a Shadow Battlecrab or whatever in X4. But it seems there are no Ship-Mods like that and weapon mods available. Is there somehow not possible to do in X4? Cause I get the feeling that we wouldd see a lot of those franchize ships if it was. But thought I'd ask around.

Because the modding scene is half dead.

SW interworlds is the only one afaik and that mod (full conversion) is fantastic.

I thought modding would get more attention once Boron DLC is released and we have all factions but honestly it's dead, I'm spending more time modifying old mods to accomodate my play style because they are very few mods being made and a lot of mods are very outdated.

Really sad. I don't think there is any game out there where I would love to see awesome Franchize conversion mods more... Be it Startrek, Stargate, Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica.

On Nexus there is a battlestar galactica ship that's very well done.
