D2 rpg + vermintide gaming mechanics = banger
Just got this game on sale and I have to say there is something special about the engagement of the gameplay as well as the gritty world.

The rest is pretty lacking… mainly character development and items.

This game could be an absolute banger if we had mob loot tables tightly based off Diablo 2. Coupled with more meaningful and in depth character customization.

My questions is… is this even remotely possible to achieve?

This would be awful. I want progression system gone completely from this game and Darktide. Everything gameplay related should be instantly unlocked and perfect weapons with maxed out stats created for free and instantly. At best unlocking cosmetics should remain.

I had the same thought and am developing a game with rich melee co-op combat and no grind progression. Turns out there are loads of other ways to make meaningful progression without locking any gameplay behind a grind!!
