Civilization Meter
I found it rather silly that you can be building gilded cities and towering monuments but the game still considers civilisation to be in decline just because some AI cannot maintain a couple cult centres on the other side of the map.
Hence I am trying to make a small mod that lets unique epic buildings (special landmarks, the "momument to greatness" and the khufu monuments) add a small amount (5 points) to the civilization meter, so you can influence it modestly without making the mechanic altogether obsolete.
I have found the effect present on one of the pharaonic crowns that adds a flat 10 to the civ meter and adapted that to the buildings, which on the building side is already working fine - the buildings show "5 civilization points" in their effect description.
HOWEVER, the game seems to ignore these points and keeps counting only the settlement level of the cult centres plus the occasional wearing of that special crown.
What am I missing? Is there another spot in the data where I need to tell the game to take civ points from buildings into account as well?
