More Augment Slots Mod

I saw a line of code for creating 8 max augment slots for your agents instead of the normal 4. It's not entirely clear to me how it will look when I insert it into the file. It's on this weblink for the Klei forums:

It's from 2015. Does anyone know if it still works and how do I paste it into the lua file?

Also, does anyone know of any premade mods out there that will change the max augment slots for agents?

There's a meme mod that does it for Sharp.

With very minimal "open a text file and edit it" skills you could tweak this mod to affect other agents.

Note that functional support for more augment slots doesn't necessarily extend to all the places in the UI that show augment slots.
