Antistasi (ArmA 3 mod) in Space Engineers?
Someone should really make an Antistasi mod for Space Engineers, it would be really fun in the SE universe.

For those who don't know Antistasi for ArmA 3, it's an All vs All war on which the players play the role of rebels fighting against invaders, the goal is to win back the map from occupying as well as invading enemy outposts/cities. The players start with only minor assets and resources and must loot and collect more assets from their enemies to stock them up. Over time the players can also accumulate money as well as HR so they can hire as well as train AI to either help them to attack, fulfill tasks or defend already conquered position.

Considering the lack of content -for the moment- in Space Engineers, It would be really entertaining to have a mod that basically adds a space war scenario to the game just like Antistasi does to ArmA 3. It would maybe include conquering regions of planets, whole planets, space stations and so on and it would play extremely well considering the freedom that this game gives to the player (unlike ArmA lol).

I am no modder, neither a programmer so I am not able to do such a thing by myself, but I've seen people make incredible stuff on this game's workshop, so please share and maybe one day it will reach someone who's capable of doing a mod like this, it would be incredible for the SE community.

Hi, it's already doable, it just need a player scenario author creating the world/creating that scenario and doable without using any of the scenario tools and Workshop Mods.

But I can tell not much of the SE Players like to play premade scenarios, the majority prefer to play creative mode to create all they want as a challenge to find the working stable solutions.

I am working on my next Workshop scenario that can be played Solo or PVP and it looks like your description.

I forgot to specify
-> I am not a Modder or Programmer, I just take advantage of the creative tools to create scenarios like : Mission world with tasks in to complete, Battle for the ores, Race track, Dog fight arena, etch ...

A lot can be done and it just need a player to make/create the world.

Scenario authors can add enemy Drone spawners, it's very easy to do where you don't have to be a Modder.

You seem new on the forum and don't know me so I must specify :

I am not a SE Dev but forum Moderator community helper/game tester and I help the SE community since 2013 because it's my Favorite Sandbox game on Steam.

The point of making it a mod and not a scenario is so that the player can choose the exact location of the starting base (just like a survival world), where to settle to start the conquest of the universe for example; not only, but also the game right now only have random encounters with NPCs. To make it feel like a war, the NPCs would have to behave differently: they would try to retake bases, sabotage your convoys or send massive counter attacks while being seiged (if you've played Antistasi you know what I'm talking about) and act less like random encounters. Also the quests needs to be reworked for a mod like this: in Antistasi you get the quests in your HQ (which also needs to be protected at all costs) and the quests are not like "bring me this" "ship this to that location" etc etc, but are more war-like: they ask you to kill high profile enemies, assault convoys, rescue prisoners, destroy cities or outposts and so on. All these things cannot be achieved with the tools that are in the game right now ( I suppose )

Also, a big feature of Antistasi is that you can buy/train troops to do specific things like patrol, defend or attack locations. With the automation update all this can be easily done by the player but a mod could bring this concept to a different scale. When you're approaching late game in Antistasi you have a ♥♥♥♥ ton of cities and outposts to look over, so you just slap 30/40 troops each to defend them while you keep assaulting the enemy, the same concept could be applied to SE: you could buy A.I. drones to defend for example a whole planet, or maybe buy a massive ship to destroy an enemy station. The concept of Antistasi is that it brings the strategic feel of a RTS game to a simulative FPS game, it's like playing Hearts of Iron but on the very frontline; in Space Engineers this concept could be very very interesting and fun.

Choosing a Respawn Station Faction on joining the world is easy to do for a PVP match, I can show you if needed ...

I understand more what you mean after reading your new posts, indeed adding missions to do will need a creative player using the creative tools.

Maybe a Modder or a Scenario Author will take your ideas ;)

The respawn was just an example ofc, but yeah, if you don't know what Antistasi is, it's actually hard to understand how massive that mod is with just a brief explanation and it's even harder applying it to this game. I really hope that somebody takes on this idea.
