Hope it's okay to share projects here... my first project is finally complete, thanks to some really essential help from this group. It's the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico, where I worked for two years as a postdoc. I've been adding to this model on and off for the last ten years, and it's great to be finally able to stand on the top of the platform and chuck stuff off !

The graphical quality isn't perfect, to be honest. But the conversion process from Blender (where the native materials look rather better) to Steam is not so straightforward, so I had to draw a line somewhere. For the next project I'll design ahead with UV maps in mind, and try and make as much of the materials as possible in the Steam workshop rather than pre-baking everything in Blender. Anyway, it's still pretty fun to roam around, I think.
