Track editor and tutorial incomprehensible?
I have noticed there are no custom tracks avalible anywhere, and have decided to make my own. However the guide on track making is really hard to understand. If I had one custom track in ascii format maybe I will be able to generate the data myself but preferably I would like to see someone make one, step by step. The fact that there are none avalible makes me think I am not the only one being unable to comprehend the guide.

From what i remember (don't quote me on this) snake is working on a more easier track editor that you will be able to use instead of having to rely on external programs. Not sure how long that will take though but for custom models on tracks you would still need to use external programs.

You are right, it says so in the editor and is expected in version 0.5. We can't tell when 0.5 will come along though (though updates are frequent and I love every bit of it). So I am asking the community, or do we all wait? I don't mind waiting but to have never asked is pointless.

You'll still need a 3D CAD to make the track models. Custom tracks are not supported yet because the editor isn't fully finished. You can import and test custom tracks, but they're not useable in the game's normal racing modes, only in the track importer.

ok so there are not many editor bug threads and you lot seem to know your stuff, a quick question,

when play testing the ship falls through the starting grid and then sometimes the game crashes and I can't do anything but 3 finger salute to close the game,

any idea on what has caused this or what to do to reset starting grid section would be cool.

tried a few of the bugg options but its not so intuitive for me.
