So I can't mod. No skill with code and a general lack of time due to my IRL work. So I figure I make a request to the more talented modders out there if anyone will hear it.

I always thought that the game was missing larger infrastructure items that would expand on defensive and offensive capabilities. The Orbital laser now exists, and I thought it'd be kinda cool if there was similar facilities that did different things.

I'd like to suggest a few things.

1. A Drone Airport - This is a large structure that would deploy wide range patrol drones similar to the tower which serves to lure in ambient threats and provide a QRF to bases or armed support to a series of nearby bases.

2. Alien Hatchery Cages - A similar structure to the airport, a kind of Facility which artificially grows a few of the alien species we fight and then spits them out as allied wandering units which like drones will respond to distant threats. Not as numerous as a wave (save maybe if enough aliens are grown) and requires active ammo production to maintain effects.
