Order subscribed items by date updated and only test the mods that were updated this week.

I reckon there's a conflict with an older mod. You could just enable the mods you care about that day. If you care though, test smaller and smaller groups of mods until you narrow down which conflict with each other, so you can either avoid the old mod or tell the author of the new mod so they can try to fix it on their end.

so, I pinned down something, without Hubris, game does not crash on startup, however a couple seconds later while i was about to start a daily run (just in menus) the game crashed again. I'll be back soon to say if it's consistent or not. Thanks for the help !

uninstalled and reinstalled game in attempt to fx, now half the text is black and unreadable

You might wanna do a reinstall that involves disabling the cloud and manually deleting files before installing. Clear steam download cache. Try a different install location.

Any problems in other games? Could be a gpu driver issue.

nope, happened again, maybe I'll try unsubscribing through steam, see if that changes things
