Is there something wrong with attempting to push GUTs to it's limit and see what it's really capable of doing?
How is your response helpful to myself or anyone else at all?
With such little information available to you about what I am trying to accomplish with the mod it also is slightly ignorant to claim that I am stripping away from the games experience when I have simply stated only 3 things that I would like to do with it.
I would appreciate it if any other responses stuck to the questions I asked instead of whatever it is your attempting to accomplish by whatever it is your trying to say
Yes to all of your queries. Everything you are trying to do is possible with GUTS. I don't know the exact steps, but I know others have accomplished these things separately.
To change the way characters level up you'll need to use 'triggers' and change the files associated with player characters. You can find a tutorial for triggers on the Runic Games Forums.
To remove inventory slots you'll need to edit both the Inventories of the player units and the associated UI.
To set one single look for the characters, you'll need to deselect the 'wardrobed' option in the player unit editor and then give them a unique model (this would require some modeling work). Another option is, since you don't want them equipping anything, remove all of their gear inventories and then set their starting appearance to what you want. Keep 'wardrobed' selected. They can't equip anything anyway, so their look will never change. You can find out how to change starting gear on the Runic Games Forums.
To change character creation the way you envision you just need to create a separate character class for each 'character' you'd like to make available. If they have a pre-baked model (non-wardrobed), there won't be any customization (like hair or face) options for the player. Otherwise, you can just remove all the hair/face options but the one you want.
Good luck. Sounds interesting.
You are absolutely entitled to own the software you download, that should be a basic right and no company should be going around setting up monopolies to screw over their clients who have chosen to do any form of business with them software as a service is unethical and it should be illegal in every case.
