When you first click on an area to terraform, continue holding the button down and drag the cursor. You can do up to a 50 x 50 area. Plenty large enough given how long it takes to do the work without a mod.

LOL - Yeah, I've been there a few times. Wish we had access to it. If we do, I can't find it.

The area for terraforming is restricted because it would probably kill the game performance if it very bigger
