Enabling mods
Just returning to the game after several years and struggling to find some options in the UI.

Have tried to grab a mod that include new simpler weapons. Have downloaded from the relevant section on the content page and it has successfully copied the files and claims it is installed but doesn't show in game. Is there some option to manage or enable/disable the mod that I am missing?

Have you tried restarting the game yet? Typically necessary to get new items to show up in the menus. Or you could do a configuration rebuild from the modding menu if you're familiar.

multiple restarts and delete mod and reinstall... no dice

Have you gone in the miscellaneous tab in options menu to enable the mods? Also, try to uncheck the "Read only" property on the folders
