I've no idea how successful I'll be, but for my second mod, I'm working on a narcotics mod. Mix Lithium (new mineable resource), medicine, and alcohol to make meth in a meth lab.
What I haven't got set up yet is the meth lab to combine the above. My goal is to have a large negative radius to safety and health around the meth lab, but meth is going to be a super valuable commodity that you can trade- at a cost.
My goal is to having numerous crime events linked to having the meth lab built, villagers randomly getting murdered, funds being stolen by the patron-cartel, and that sort of thing. I don't have it all worked out yet, but that's my goal- so far only got so far as the Lithium production.
But yeah, it's going to be a way to bring in massive wealth (at the cost of your citizens health and safety).
Lithium can also be used to mix with herbs by the herbalist to produce "Happy Pills". Happy Pills are used at the Psychiatrist which has a positive happiness radius.... so the mod isn't all crime based.
I'm also planning a brothel mod once I've got the narco-mod built... but brothel won't be crime, it will be legal, although if I can get events figured out, there might be some crime linked to the brothel mod.
It really made me smile when I saw "meth lab" and I am thinking about that guy in a ER bed next to the ambulance how he is high on meth and out of his mind while his house, and probably meth lab with it, is just burning to the ground.😄
And to put this scenario in Patron, brilliant.😄
