Where do these workshop files go?

I'm trying to find out where the mod files for this game get saved (the file path). I want to tweak the balancing on some of them, but because they don't appear to be saved in the workshop folder in steamapps, I have no idea how to go about that. (On a mac, btw)

Locate your steam directory, wherever you installed it, then go to steamapps\common\Cortex Command, all files are stored there, mods and base game alike.
