so what can you do in the map editor?

what i want to do is what exactly can you do in the map editor? like can you define what eras you start in and can't advance to, block certain buildings from being built or unlock them later with missions, make custom missions that sort of stuff. or is it just a land editor? if it's the later i prob won't be interested in this

Right now it is a random map generator, but you can control what era the game starts in and ends at. Limbic has said that they are still working on a more full featured map editor, so your best bet would be to wait a week or two and ask your question again.

We have been promised a map editor similar to the one in Tropico 5 which also let you create scenarios. However they promised that in March 2019 and we still haven't seen it. i think Kaylpso have given up on tropico 6
