But being a game with Denuvo I wouldn't touch a non steam workshop mod with a 10 foot pole.
Only things it really does is delay cracks a little bit(depending on cracker-interest possibly just hours) and potentially creating problems for the paying user(Denuvo servers being ♥♥♥♥ around launch of certain games like this here, where a not too small number of people were locked out from playing the game - has happened to other games before and will happen again -, or not being able to play games without internet connection and lastly, in the future making a lot of games not work once Denuvo will be discontinued). But still nothing really connected to modding.
so does this still work and why's that in the readme if this is 100% safe to use? idk if it's like this for everyone but when people say the flies fill their screen they mean it, I literally have to use the minimap to navigate because idk what direction the flies are even trying to get me to go my whole screen is just glitter lol luckily I've memorized the levels but oh my goodness idk who designed the scoutflies but fire them lol
The readme is there because Capcom never gave an official statement on mods being ok or not, but I haven't heard of anyone being banned and there are straight-out cheat-mods as well, so...
w.. what.... were you expecting a link to a workshop page or......
Anyway, there are also mods that tone down the opacity of the flies, or change their colour, or remove the scoutflies but keep the glowing footprints/tracks if that's more your style. Just search up 'scout' or 'scoutflies' or whatever (on the nexus) and there should be quite a few, if my memory serves me correctly. But yeah I personally enjoy deleting the hell out of them.
And nobody, including the devs, care about mods. Unless they effect other people, or the event quests apparently. There were hackers in older games too and iirc nothing was done about them so *shrugs*
Then why ask for a mod on a game that doesn't have a steam workshop?
