Could We Please Get Some Suport for a Mod System in This Game
Since this is capcoms most profitable title in a long time, I think it would be smart to add a steam workshop section to the game page. Mods can help to extend the lifespan of a game, and with a comunity like this and the micro transations in the emote functions that alow capcom to take advantage of a longer game lifespan, and i think it would be interesting to see what we could create for this game.

While I agree that we should have a workshop page for stuff like more content, graphics edits etc. but 1. think of the cheaters and 2. there's already a nexus page for the game https://www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterworld

I do think that you are right about this potentaly leading to cheating, and curently ther is no way to prevent a moder makeing an instakill wepon. my solution to this would be to create a more srever baised system like most games have, where you can play on offical servers to get a genuine vanilla experince and on private to get a modded experince. the modded items would only cary over to other servers that have the mod installed or if you personaly have the mod installed you would be able to just create your own single player server with that mod installed. to prevent people from useing overpowerd mods to farm a bunch of recorces you could make it so reguler items gained in modded servers or in modded single player dont transfur to offical servers.

and think of the benifits a mod system would add in, because the most common complaint me and many other fans of this game have is that there isnt enough content, and adding a workshop page and a level editor would ultimently fix this problem and make evryone happy. the fans would get more content, the devs have less work, and the modding comunity would get to flex its creatve mucles.

that and if the mods are good enuff and not broken they might be added to official content if the creator agreas to it if capcom asks to make it official.:LIS_poker_face:

There are thousands of mods on the Nexus, and just as many hackers/cheaters because of it. If you want to get some more content, go browsing. Although there isn't really a good way to avoid other people using mods other than playing singleplayer or with friends. There really isn't any point to adding a workshop- if anything, it'll make the game worse.

dude if you run into a cheater just leave the thing if your that but hurt about it.

it's not like dark souls where there is pvp and cheats will really screw crap up there will always be cheater and it will always be a problem but its still a crap reason to say we should not have official modding.:steamfacepalm:

Dude. Adding a workshop means MORE people have EASIER access to cheats. Do you not understand what that will entail? The game already has enough ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as it is.
There's already plenty of mods available, cheating or not. Do you really find it that difficult to download one that you'd rather beg for workshop support?

The system above would make chaets irelivent because you wouldent be able to have mods when playing with other people unless there was a server that suported those mods.

secondly while there is a good moding comunity present of nexus, it significantly limits the exsessability of mods to newer players who are interested in looking for new content. while you and me may be able to install nexus mods wsithout a hassle not evryone can.

this system would also make it so chaeters could be more controled as they would be limited to single player or modded servers giveing less of an incentive to cheat.

Then maybe you should edit that into the OP.

But you know there are Non cheaters in that mix too right? The ones who actually have fun putting changes in to make costumes look better, have more Choices for looks ie: Layer armor mods.

You will always have cheaters, it's a given in ANY game.. hell even Exploiters who abuse built in mechanics in a game, it's going to ALWAYS HAPPEN.
