Updated Medicinal Herb?
Neither of the 2 mods currently provide the option for Medicinal Herb in a field growth. Is there one that is being worked on at the moment or simply, do any Medicinal Herb mods work for any of you guys?

If I remember you get the medicinal herbs after you do the ship expedition.
I used to have it and worked fine.
Expeditions much faster using this mod.

Megadori's Herb garden is simpler. Grows herbs all year round. Can just build herb garden without healer. Place nearby to storage barn.

You can also FPV and gather a few herbs yourself or build a herbalist no mods needed really. You dont require many herbs only for Healer.

Ok thanks, , to get herbs playing the vanilla you will need to build a port then a ship then send it on expeditions, select plants you may not get it first time.
I found it way too slow and very expensive, so used the mod faster expeditions no pies needed.
I have completed all the achievements with Forest Village and it quite a difficult task to achieve with many many attempts.. many failures.. I used 8 mods that helped with food production.
I played till 2400 population but it uses so much resources I have to play x1 speed.

I have noticed that it is very difficult without mods. Lately I have made a new map with few mods. Food production, not calories and all mammals provide hide since hide is a huge pain with hunters. Any other tips are appreciated!

I find that it's very easy until the population gets around 800 and higher then the villagers needs seem to change.
Any time you need help on anything specific I'd be happy to offer you my tips that worked for rme.
In my profile I have a few videos of my steps with this village and the layout of my settlements.

My best tip is gather a ton of resources first place into Castle Markets, place those markets around your village. . Resources in the castle markets does not count towards the overall food production listed in the village info. So it helps stop the arrow appearing " upgrade" food resources constantly.
So while gathering resources dont build anymore houses let your villagers get old and die they are immediately replaced with babies.. Keep house building to one a year or else they all die of old age at the same time.

I built small paddocs for sheep and cattle, and small Chooks pens, this way they will kill off an animal more often giving you the resources of hides. Any excess resources can be sold for hides in the Market but you will need a pack mule and donkey farm.
Fruit is the best resource for buying hides. Most things I needed I was hides, warm clothes and prof tools.

Keeping all resources x 2 or x 4 the amount of population seems to slow the amount of usage. Maybe they feel safe and secure.
Once pies are introduced villagers will eat nothing else. Fruit pies veg pies have the highest protein. calouries.
It therefor becames a huge task to route packmules to gather all other resources from barns but they are handy to buy the resources as needed.
Example, note the amount of pies I have that does not include what is in the castle markets
I have a ton of warm clothes.
