HOW DO YOU UPDATE A MOD PACK

I want to add a couple hats to a mod pack i made for workshop, however i don't know how to add them in without having to reupload the entire mod and losing it's subscribers, does anyone know how to do that?

I've tried this many times without success. However, if you're just editing your current hats and not adding any, then you can update, but if you're adding hats, you need to make another mod pack.
This definitely needs to be fixed.
