If it were just that I wouldn't mind that much, but it's more than that. I don't want to be scared of going to certain places or even just the thought of having to face giant arachnids. In Skyrim I had to ask my brother to go through spiders, or do it with almost closed eyes, because I couldn't face them. And even that was horrible enough.
I want to enjoy the game, I want to enjoy the world and the story. If I wanted to face my fears, I would play a horror game, which I don't. There are enough parts that are intense without spiders.
If you (or anyone else, for that matter) don't have a problem with spiders, I don't mind. It's fine with me, I don't care how you play your game.
But please don't talk down other's fears by saying "it's just a little scary". If I want to play without spiders you don't get a say in that, just as I don't tell you how to do it. With all due respect.
Your comment sounds to me like you don't respect what others fear (and yes, Arachnophobia is a thing). And this I can't accept without saying something about it.
Anyway, that said, it resolved itself, I found a mod on Nexus.
