I remember reading something along the lines of it being "high priority" a while ago.
What happened?
Most Workshop items of mine and many from other uploaders (the ones who aren't just reuploading others' mods, anyway) are missing out on major fixes and improvements because reuploading is such a mess for everyone involved;

For the uploaders:
We lose all the ratings, feedback history and statistics.

For the users:
The ones that haven't commented on the item have absolutely no way of finding out that a new version exists, unless they decide to look for it, which means they're likely to keep on using flawed/incomplete items as long as they play the game.
The item will be lost from their collections and favorites, meaning that, assuming they don't forget about it's existence, they'll have to hunt it down again. Some items may be a major part of certain collections, so them going missing without the author's knowledge isn't exactly great.
The link to the item changes, so any external links to it become invalid, including Required Items for other items to work.


I very much hope item updating comes soon, as the constant changes to the scripts are making my items more and more outdated and I'm having to dread every update for it could absolutely break something, making me lose months of statistics and over 1000 subscribers, I'm slowly losing will to work on this version of the game.
Even though I've been skeptical and/or critical on many of your decisions, devs, I very much enjoy 2.3.1 and I want it to shine as much as a version of SLRR can these days!
Having great mods is important to any game out there, so I believe making the process of keeping them up to date/functional as painless as possible would benefit the game greatly!
