If it's regarding the Russian Coat of Arms (I have a Russian themed gun), here is what I was able to find when I tracked the object to Wikipedia:

I doubt it was due to copyright reasons. I suggest you talk about this with AJ. Usually when it comes to well-known icons it's best to either modify them, to the point where they are not as recognisable, or ask mods before using them. Ideally -- both.

The title of the skin was called "Red Dawn" - My friends suggested that maybe that was the reason? If it was as simple as renaming it, I will gladly do so (since there were two movies the name references).

I wish I knew what it was because I could have spent today fixing it and get it back up there for more views/votes. If you take someone's skin down suddenly, it would be nice to have even a short sentence or two for the author on what needs to be revised.

As Yamaha stated, often it's best to modify these kinds of things, so they resemble, but aren't a copy that could cause any legal issues.
