Mod Req - Laborers dont walk back with just 1 hide
Looking for a mod where it would stop laborers walking back with just 1 hide on them, i couldnt understand why they where so slow collecting meat, untill i noticed they where walking a long way out only to come back with 1 hide even though they pass 20 or so stacks of hide

There is only such much our dear modders hace access to in the games UI.
HUD and UI design determines how players interface with the most core systems of a game.
Access to this core is mostly forbidden for modders as they are only allowded to tinker with some of the modules and buildings.

Ive already got that mod, still doesnt make them carry more though, its pretty much a waste of time for foreging, only good for building, shame though

Carry more will work for both gatherers and herbalists as well as miners and builders as all of those base what is carried on weight. To do a mod where hunters carry more than the hide of one animal would require completely rescripting hunters (doable but not easy) and woud, I suspect, cause some problems. If you want them to spend less time transporting try building storage close to their hut, either a barn or something like the small shed.

The real problem and question is, why are workers only allowed to carry one item at a time? For example, the Hunter should be able to bring back from the fox, 2 meats & 1 hide at the same time. Banished was programmed this way and the Forest Village programmers should consider changing the code to do this.

The mod " More productive Animals" has added hides and meat to wild animals that previously only had one item for the hunter or labourer to carry adding the mod changed this and is not included in the scripts for gathering /collecting..
Previously wild animals killed produced
Bear 4 Hides << with mod produces hides and meat
Boar 15 Meat << with mod produces hides and meat
Deer 20 Meat << with mod produces hides and meat
Fox 1 Hide << with mod produces hides and meat
Moose 25 Meat << with mod produces hides and meat
Wolf 2 Hides << with mod produces hides and meat

Domesric Animals this mod adds milk as well to those animals peviously didnt.
Cow produces milk and meat no hides
Chicken produces eggs and meat,
Sheep produce wool and meat, no hides
Pig produce meat, no hides
With the wild sheep mod installed it adds wool meat and hides to wild animals

My point being that Mods rewrite the vanilla Forest Village and to ask the Devs then to rewrite the game scripts to accomodate Mods in my opinion would be a huge task with so many varied mods.
However I do see some mods written into the vanilla game when it is so useful and popular.
With each Forrest Village upgrade there is always new fixes and new features added based on suggestions by players.

I do agree with you, I can carry a lot more when using the villager but where it comes to wild animals I can only remove the meat first then collect up to 30 hides I think?

Changing the coe could break mods that have been made. Great care needs to be taken when programing as a change can affect other programs and there is always the posibility of conflicts.

You can also change the hunting priority for bears, foxs, boars and wolves by using this mod:

Have you increased the carry to 4 or 5 in the options in modification?
Exit game reload to the settings. Now gatheres carry a lot more, in first person using 5 I can carry over 100 of most items. It doesnt work for teenagers. But the free laboureres now carry a lot more resources to new building site.
It really helps with the gatherers stopping to eat all the time.

If I am reading this correctly, as a desire for a mod that when a villager goes out and picks up an item he will check if he is carring the max amount, if not then he will look for more stacks of that item before returning to the barn. I think this would be a very nice mod.

Free villagers picking up killed animals from the hunter or from us in FPV, carry only that hide from that animal they can't split it up into different loads,
so when you see only 1 hide>it is from fox as it's one hide, no meat
a bear is 4 hides no meat
wolf 2 hides no meat without mods that is.
Go kill a bear in FPV and wait till a free villager comes to pick up then exit FPV then click on villager how many hides is they carrying from bear?

other animals like deer 20 meat " no hides "
Boar 15 meat " no hides "
moose 25 meat " no hides."
The mod carry more " not to be associated with Adjustable Carry Weight" increases the carry amount
